Kal Akel to head manufacturing operations for Bell
Akel appointed director of operations for flavors and fragrances company.
Khalid (Kal) Akel has been appointed director of operations of Northbrook, Ill.-based Bell Flavors and Fragrance.

Akel will manage the day-to-day manufacturing operations at the company's headquarters.
Most recently, Akel worked for Innova, where he was responsible for the operation of three plants.
He has previously been a production manager, plant manager, director of operations and v.p. of supply chain and operations, bringing more than 18 years of experience in management of flavor and production management to Bell.
Akel earned his Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois, Chicago.
