New York City-based The Topps Co. Inc., a leading creator of confectionery, sports cards and entertainment products, has promoted Tony Jacobs to president of Topps’ Global Confectionary Brands Division.
Mondelez International’s North America division will have new leadership. The Deerfield, Ill.-based confectionery and snack giant announced Tuesday that Roberto Marques, executive v.p. and president, North America, will leave the company. Chief Growth Officer Tim Cofer will fill the role in the interim.

Blommer Chocolate announced several new hires for key positions today. Joining North America’s largest cocoa processor and ingredient chocolate supplier are David Meggs as v.p. of sales and marketing; Scott Amoye as v.p. of commodity risk management; and Margaret Sofio, as chief people officer. The company also revealed that it has promoted Scott Wasilak to sales director.
Cargill has established a licensed buying company in Ghana, allowing the ingredient supplier to directly source cocoa from certified farmers and maintain a traceable purchasing model.
