Godiva has announced its 2015 Lady Godiva Honorees: Lynne Silver, Laurelee Blanchard and Lori Flowers.

Each Honoree will receive a $10,000 grant for their philanthropic work and will be honored in Godiva stores in their respective cities.

"Giving back is at the very core of the Godiva brand," says Burak Elmas, president, North America. "The Lady Godiva program is a platform to help support and celebrate women who are focused on bettering the world around them, with the hope that these grants will help further the successes of these honorees, allowing them to impact more lives with their extraordinary generosity."

Honorees are chosen for their philanthropy and embodiment of the core pillars of the Lady Godiva program: selflessness, generosity, leadership and community involvement. The program was created in 2011 to celebrate inspirational women and inspire others to give back.

The Honorees are nominated and voted for by the Godiva community in several categories: Health, Wellness and Hunger; Children, Family and Poverty; and the Environment.

Lynne Silver, Children, Families and Poverty Honoree

As the founder and executive director of Adopt International, Silver has dedicated her life to providing educational services for families and children. Since forming the organization in 1983, she has worked with more than 6,500 families and assisted birth parents in finding suitable placement for their children, in both identified and confidential adoptions. Silver also received a Congressional Angel in Adoption Award in 2011.

Blanchard left a career in commercial real estate in 2008 to found Leilani Farm Sanctuary, an establishment devoted to animal rescue and humane education. The sanctuary is now home to more than 200 animals saved from neglect, abuse and slaughter. She has also worked as a consultant to the World Society for the Protection of Animals to end long-distance transport of live animals from the mainland.

Lori Flowers, Health, Wellness and Hunger Honoree

Flowers launched Triple Step Toward the Cure with her mother and works with physicians and health networks to provide updated information on triple negative breast cancer. She has worked with more than 75 patients, provided $168,000 in financial assistance and expanded the program to aid patients in seven states.
