Blommer has hired a new chief information officer (cio) as well as a new corporate manager for master planning and scheduling.

Gary Reitz will be the company’s new cio, while Tom Hyland will be the new corporate manager.

Reitz he comes to Blommer with extensive information technology experience in the consumer packaged goods and business services industries.

He’s worked at Dean Foods Co., Ubiquity Brands Inc. (Jays Foods) and Quaker Oats Co. as well as ATC Corp., a global supply chain management services company.  

And, within each of those organizations, Reitz “established and led IT initiatives to implement new systems and applications transformations to support process and organizational structures.”

In his new role at Blommer, he’ll be providing technology vision and leadership.

Reitz attended Purdue University where he received a B.S. degree in accounting and computer science.  He also attended the University of Chicago, where he received his MBA in finance, economics and accounting.

As for Hyland, he most recently worked at Datwyler Packaging, Inc., as the logistics/supply chain manager.  

While there he was responsible for supply chain operations, including planning, raw material and indirect material procurement.  

In his new role at Blommer, he’ll be focused on developing the ongoing master production plan to satisfy customer demand, while carrying minimum inventory.

Hyland has a B.S. degree in business logistics from Penn State University.
