Mars to open first temporary M&M’s World
Store slated for Main Street in Hackettstown, N.J.
Mars Chocolate North America has announced plans to open a new store — for about two weeks.
The company is planning to open its first-ever temporary M&M’s World on Main Street in its hometown of Hackettstown, N.J.
The pilot store will be open Oct. 16-31, and will feature many of the same fixtures and merchandise fans can find in the flagship M&M’S World stores in New York, Las Vegas, Orlando, and London.
Mars is also developing special merchandise featuring a “Made in Hackettstown” logo in partnership with Abilities, a state
The store is meant to highlight the Mars Chocolate North America’s long history in the community, where the Hackettstown facility has produced M&M’s since 1958, employs more than 1,200 associates.
“We’re extremely proud to call Hackettstown home,” says Debra A. Sandler, president of Mars Chocolate North America. “The communities where we live and work are as much a part of our identity as the products we make.”
