German gummy snack maker agrees to redesign after lawsuit
March 9, 2011
Farley’s &
Sathers (F&S) has withdrawn its trademark
infringement lawsuit against German confectioner Mederer GmbH after
the company agreed to redesign its packaging, according to an article in theMinneapolis / St. Paul Business
Journal.
The Round Lake-
Minn., based F&S had alleged that Mederer’s e.fruttibrand gummi
snack bags used the same colors, layout and lettering as as a comparable
F&S product.
A lawyer for F&S told the Business
Journal that the suit was amicably resolved.
