The National Confectioners Association and the Western Candy Conference will host the 4th annual California Advocacy Day in Sacramento May 7-8.

The state’s agenda includes issues that impact the confectionery industry, including proposed candy taxes and labeling concerns. This event serves as an opportunity to meet with lawmakers to address these topics and educate legislators on how California candy makers contribute to the state and national economies.

In addition to legislative meetings at the state capitol, meetings are scheduled with the California Environmental Protection Agency, the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment and other agencies to discuss other challenges within the state such as Proposition 65.
