Michigan resort to open new Dylan's Candy Cafe

August 3, 2011

Dylan’s Candy Bar is expanding its foothold in the ice cream market by opening a new Candy Cafe at Grand Traverse Resort & Spa near Traverse City, Mich.

The new sweet shop, which is like a traditional ice cream shop but more extravagant, extends the theme of the popular Dylan’s Candy Bar store at the resort that opened last November.

The cafe offers custom-flavored ice cream, over-the-top sundaes, milkshakes, malts, dessert-themed candies, fresh fudge, cotton candy, speciality chocolates and celebration packages.

The ice cream selection features best-selling flavors served at the original flagship store in New York, including classic vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, as well as more unusual flavors such as candy bar blast, vanilla peanut butter cup, cookies & cream cheesecake, birthday cake, blue mint chip, red velvet, cookies mess and circus.

And if the ice cream flavors alone aren’t enough, patrons can order them as part of one of the speciality sundaes, which range from cheesecake fantasy, mint-tastic and birthday party to demolition cookies derby and perfectly peanut butter.

Plans for a Grand Opening celebration will be announced at a later date.

Dylan’s Candy Bar retail stores are located in New York City, East Hampton and Roosevelt Field, N.Y., as well as Orlando and Houston. The company also has retail sites in prestigious stores and hotels around the globe.
