After reading the October 2009 issue of Retail Confectioner featuring two articles about English Toffee, the makers of Tungsten Toffee sent me an e-mail asking that my father (an English Toffee connoisseur, as mentioned in that month’s Sweet Talk) and I try their “melt in your mouth” products, which are made “right here in the good old U.S.A.” I’ve never been one to turn down free samples, so I anxiously awaited the package. It was well worth the wait. Rich, crisp and chewy Tungsten Toffee comes in two varieties, Sweet Milk Chocolate and Smooth Dark Chocolate, both of which are dusted with crushed #1 Fancy Pecans. Tungsten Toffee also offers Rocky Mountain Toffee Trail Mix and Toffee Coffee/Espresso Dark Chocolate. (Dad’s gonna love it all.)
Ingredients (Sweet Milk Chocolate): Salted Grade AA sweet cream butter, 100% pure cane sugar, milk chocolate (sugar, milk, cocoa butter, chocolate, soy lecithin and vanilla, artificial flavor), premium quality California almonds, U.S. #1 fancy pecans. Ingredients in this product are processed on equipment that also processes other tree nuts or peanuts. May contain tree nuts or peanuts.
S.R.P.: $10.95 for a 0.5-lb. box; $19.95 for a 1 lb. box
