Egan Food Technologies to offer enrobers for confectionery

The tool ships in under six months from the company's U.S. headquarters.

Egan Food Technologies has announced the addition of enrobers to its line of process equipment for the confectionery and baking industries, filling a market gap for affordable and domestically supported enrobers that are delivered within six months—about half the time of current industry offerings, the company says.

“The addition of enrobers is in response to our customers’ frequent requests for equipment to complete their full extruding, wirecutting, and slab forming lines,” says Mike Sherd, managing partner. “We’re excited to now offer enrobers that pair perfectly with our XtrudeForm and SlabForm lines and meet the same quality standards of these customer-favorite machines.”

The new enrobers are available in standard widths from 600 mm to 1600 mm for enrobing and bottoming with chocolate, compound, and caramel. Customers can tailor the equipment with multiple product curtains, blowers, licking rollers, an independently controlled detailing rod, and decorators. The complete stainless steel, hygienic design features a roll-away tank module that contains the curtains, bottoming, and roller components. Machine operators can remove this module for cleaning and change-overs, leaving the blowers and system controls in place and ready to accept another tank module.

Other standard features on the new enrobers include jacketed pipes and tanks for temperature control, pneumatic tensioning for wire-mesh belts, and adjustable blower speed, height, and angle. Like all Egan Food Technologies equipment lines, the enrobers are serviced and supported from the company’s Grand Rapids, MI headquarters.
