Nestle announced it will establish its first R&D facility entirely dedicated to the development of premium and luxury chocolate, a Chocolate Center of Excellence, located at Nestle’s chocolate factory in Broc, Switzerland.

Nestle announced it will establish its first R&D facility entirely dedicated to the development of premium and luxury chocolate, a Chocolate Center of Excellence, located at Nestle’s chocolate factory in Broc, Switzerland.  Establishing the facility proves that Nestle has a large focus on its luxury and premium products.  It also explains the partnership between Nestle and Belgian luxury chocolatier Pierre Marcolini, who will give inspiration to the team in Broc.  The Chocolate Center of Excellence should bring together the internal and external know-how of international chocolate-making professionals such as confiseurs, sensory experts and packaging designers.  The facility should be up and running by the middle of 2009.
