Moonstruck launches two new chocolate bars

Chocolate bars feature work from local artists on interior packaging.

Moonstruck Chocolate Co. has added two varieties to its classic bar collection: the Dark Chocolate Blueberry Passion Fruit Bar and the Dark Chocolate Hazelnut Chai Bar.

Each bar will feature two local artists, including design duo Skinny Ships and local illustrator Madeline Kate Martinez, respectively.

In November 2019, Moonstruck Chocolate launched a rebrand with updated packaging that highlights artists from Oregon. Each bar has the same innovative flavors that Moonstruck Chocolate is known for but adds an element of surprise and enjoyment inside the packaging. Among the featured artists are Lisa Congdon, Kate Bingaman-Burt, Brett Stenson, Ryan Bubnis, Tess Rubinstein and Lan Truong.

“Moonstruck has always been directly influenced by the art scene in Portland,” says Joanna Hartvickson, director of marketing and product management at Moonstruck Chocolate. “We are so happy to be able to continue to support the artists that make this city what it is, by bringing the art into some of the most unexpected places.”

Classic bars retail for $4 each. All chocolate bars will be available at Moonstruck Chocolate stores, online at moonstruckchocolate.com and at select retailers across the country.
