Impact Confections, Inc. and KUA Candy LLC have formed a partnership under which KUA Candy will purchase Impact Confections’ manufacturing facility in Janesville, Wisconsin, while Impact retains the sales and marketing ownership of the Warheads and Melster brand portfolios.

This transaction brings two like-minded confectionery entities together to maximize the capabilities of both companies. KUA Candy, headquartered in Mexico City, Mexico, has a wide range of manufacturing capabilities and expertise in chewy candy, licorice, compressed mints and more. Impact Confections, based in Janesville, Wisconsin, manufactures and markets both branded and private label confections.

This strategic partnership leverages both companies’ collective knowledge of the confectionery industry and manufacturing, while also broadening the supply chain in order to offer superior branded, private label and contract manufacturing solutions to their customers and consumers.

"The partnership with KUA Candy is both exciting and timely,” said Impact Confections CEO Gary Viljoen. “Their demonstrated expertise and excellence in confectionery manufacturing, product quality and innovation will greatly enhance the capabilities of Impact Confections. This alliance allows Impact to focus on growing the Warheads brand and continuing to provide iconic Melster candies like Circus Peanuts. We look forward to a bright future that connects two outstanding teams.”

“At KUA we are very excited to partner with Impact Confections,” said Raul Peláez, ceo of KUA Mex Foods. “We strongly believe that this alliance will strengthen our capabilities and will provide a better platform to grow.”
