Just Born recognizes brokers, announces Peeps contest
Candymaker Just Born, Inc., announced its top performing Broker Partners for Fiscal Year 2011, with the Kahler-Senders Group being named top “National Broker of the Year.”
Based in Portland, Ore., the Kahler-Senders Group covers the states of Washington and Oregon.
The award was presented to Walt Freed, president, and Randy Ehrhart, account representative for Just Born. Additional sales personnel present for the event included Tom McGraw, Dean Valento, Rick Hanan and Steve Bosley.
Meanwhile, Golick-Martins, Inc. based in Englewood Cliffs, N.J., was recognized as the “Eastern Region Broker of the Year.” Golick-Martins, Inc. covers Metropolitan New York and the Northern New Jersey Market for the Eastern Region.
In addition, Mueller-Yurgae Associates based in Omaha, Neb., was recognized as the “Central Region Broker of the Year.” Mueller-Yurgae Associates covers Iowa and Nebraska markets for the Central Region.

The company distributes the awards each year at the NACS (National Association of Convenience Stores) Convention, which took place last month in Chicago.
Separately, Peeps & Co., the retail arm of Just Born, Inc., has announced plans to host its first Passport to Peeps & Co., Scavenger Hunt at National Harbor, Md.
This event will offer family-fun, exciting raffles, cool free gifts and will allow visitors to become more familiar with National Harbor while enjoying its beautiful, festive atmosphere during the holidays.
The contest starts on Black Friday and runs through Jan. 8. Participating retailers, restaurants, and hotels will act as “clue” locations in which participants can receive a personalized stamp inside the establishment.
Participants will be able to redeem them for a free prize and the chance to win a raffle for multiple prizes from various retailers.
