Godiva has named Phil Crawford its first chief technology officer, effective June 4.

Crawford is responsible for the company’s digital presence and innovation on both public and private fronts.

“I look forward to leveraging my experience in building, innovating and scaling transformational digital technologies to further elevate Godiva’s customer experience as a global, omni-channel brand,” Crawford said.

Crawford has worked in the information technology field for 15 years, primarily within restaurant and hospitality services. He was instrumental in building digital consumer platforms and other tech systems for Shake Shack when Crawford served as head of technology for the company. Crawford has also worked as chief technology officer for My Fit Foods and Yard House Restaurants.

“We are thrilled to have Phil join our executive team,” Godiva CEO Annie Young-Scrivner said. “He brings strong leadership experience in modernizing and building technology stacks for a robust, global footprint. With Phil on our team, we’ll be able to have more meaningful digital connections with our customers.”
