Just Born appoints Rob Sweatman, vp of operations

Just Born, Inc.’s newest vp of operations comes from the Kellogg Co.

Rob Sweatman, who started in October at the Bethlehem, Pa.,- based company, previously was in operations roles for 24 years at Kellogg.

“We welcome Rob to the Just Born family and look forward to his contributions,” says, David Yale, Just Born president and coo. “His vast operations knowledge and significant senior level leadership experience will help us to become a more successful, higher performing organization, driving transformational growth.”

Most recently, Sweatman was the vp of Manufacturing, overseeing eight plants. During his tenure at Kellogg, he also held positions as the vp of Supply Chain Network Optimization, senior director of Direct Store Door Operations, plant manager the Georgia and North Carolina plants, and as operations manager in its Denver facility.

In the above-mentioned roles, Sweatman’s leadership led to significant improvements in food safety, associate safety performance, annual savings through implementation of Lean strategies, and the reduction of consumer complaints.

Sweatman and his family currently reside in Kalamazoo, Mich., and plan to move to the Lehigh Valley. He holds a BS in Food Science & Technology with a minor in Business Management from Clemson University, Clemson, S.C.

Sweatman will report to David Yale, Just Born president and coo.
