Asher’s Chocolate Co., a fifth-generation, family-owned chocolatier, has promoted Scott Lauer to VP of operations, recognizing his leadership and significant contributions to the company’s operational performance and growth.
Lauer, who has served as director of operations since 2015, oversees the operations of Asher’s two manufacturing facilities. In his expanded role, he will continue to lead strategic initiatives focused on operational efficiency, team development, and scalable growth.
During his tenure, Lauer has reportedly played a key role in transforming Asher’s operations, helping drive measurable improvements in production, safety, and profitability. He has been instrumental in increasing net margins through enhancements in throughput, labor efficiency, and material optimization, the company adds.
“Scott has been a driving force behind the evolution of our operations over the past decade,” says Jeff Asher, president and CEO. “His leadership, focus on continuous improvement, and commitment to our core belief that quality is king have helped position Asher’s for long-term success.”
With extensive experience in consumer-packaged goods manufacturing, Lauer brings deep expertise in plant operations, lean manufacturing, and process improvement.
Founded in 1892, Asher’s Chocolate Co. is one of the oldest continuously family-owned chocolate companies in the U.S., with deep roots in Pennsylvania and a longstanding commitment to quality, the company says.
