Salon du Chocolat coming to NYC in fall 2019

Event was first launched in Paris in 1995.

Salon du Chocolat will bring its demonstrations, sculptures and Chocolate Fashion Show to New York City this fall.
 
Parisian by origin, the show is a globally renowned event with footprints across five continents. It will run Nov. 15-17 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
 
The experiential event is a unique opportunity for chocolate aficionados and enthusiasts of all ages to enjoy, explore and celebrate chocolate. The show will serve as a platform for more than 100 brands, tastemakers, pastry chefs and master chocolate makers to showcase their newest recipes and offerings, educating consumers and industry leaders alike on chocolate trends from different countries and cultures.
 
The weekend-long itinerary includes:
  • The Salon du Chocolat Signature Chocolate Fashion Show
  • Live chocolate sculptures 
  • Chef- and chocolatier-led demonstrations 
  • Interactive workshops
  • Q&As with master chocolatiers
  • Holiday shopping pop-ups
  • A family-friendly activity center
Salon du Chocolat NY will mark the global event's arrival to a 34th city since the first show in Paris in 1995. The celebration is an opportunity for tastemakers to celebrate each other's work, as well as a time for the industry to propel the category forward. 
 
The 2019 Advisory Council for Salon du Chocolat NY includes: Chef Jansen Chan, director of pastry operations at the International Culinary Center; Chef Martin Howard, The Chocolatina; Lisa Mansour,co-owner, NY Cake; Håkan Mårtensson, master chocolatier, FIKA Chocolate Factory; Roger Rodriguez, head chocolatier, Cacao Prieto; Chef Rich Leach; and Ed Seguine, founder, Seguine Cacao Cocoa & Chocolate Advisors.
