Corbion sells Breddo-Likwifier division to EnSight Solutions

Food Ingredient and lactic acid supplier divests equipment division.

Lenexa, Kan.-based Corbion sold its Breddo-Likwifier division to Ensight Solutions LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of AmProd Holdings LLC based in Strafford, Mo., last Friday, a move which will enable greater focus on high value-added food ingredients.
  
For more than 50 years, Breddo-Likwifier has been manufacturing high-speed stainless steel blenders, which are used in the food industry to produce candies, ice cream mixes, reconstituted products, canned condiments, sauces, salad dressings, fillings, instant breakfast and similar items. The division’s 2015 sales hovered near $6 million.
                                
Likwifier machines were first introduced to the dairy industry in 1958 as Lanco Likwifier. In 1977, the name was changed to what it is today, Breddo-Likwifier, which is located in Kansas City, Mo.
 
Corbion is a leading global food ingredient and bio-based chemical ingredient supplier working with leading consumer food and product manufacturers.
