Skittles gummies rolling out in Walmart
Gummies will be available in Original, Wild Berry varieties.
Mars Wrigley is launching two varieties of Skittles gummies at Walmart nationwide this month.
The company originally announced the launch during a virtual event for trade media on Nov. 10, 2020. Available in Original and Wild Berry varieties, Skittles gummies — shaped like Skittles pieces — offer the same intense fruit flavors fans know and love in an innovative gummy form.
Flavors in the Original mix include Grape, Lemon, Green Apple, Strawberry and Orange. Flavors in the Wild Berry mix include Berry Punch, Strawberry, Melon Berry, Wild Cherry and Raspberry.
Jim Dodge, vice president of convenience for Mars Wrigley U.S., said both consumers and customers have been asking for a gummy Skittles option.
“Mars Wrigley is laser-focused on listening and responding to our consumers, and this shift in behavior has driven us to evolve our approach and introduce new products, like new Skittles gummies,” Dodge said. “We know that convenience shoppers can’t get enough of our gummies — from LifeSavers to Starburst — and we’re excited to bring them a new experience with Skittles.”
Skittles gummies are available in 5.8-oz. peg bags (S.R.P. $1.99-$2.69) and 12-oz. sharing size standup pouches (S.R.P.: $2.99-$3.69). They're set to hit other retailer shelves in May.
