Former Dr. Bronner's candy brand debuts Truffle Bars
Magic Chocolate is now independently owned by a Swiss chocolatier.

Magic Chocolate, the bean-to-bar, Swiss-made chocolate company originally established in 2021 in collaboration with Dr. Bronner’s as Magic All-One Bars, will release Truffle Bars in February. Magic’s Truffle Bars feature dark and oat milk chocolate and organic ingredients for a candy that is both decadent and environmentally-conscious, the brand says.
Created with the health of both people and the planet in mind, the Truffle Bars come in four flavors and feature either bits of crunchy candied or roasted hazelnuts sourced from farmer cooperatives in Turkey who use organic and regenerative farming practices, or creamy organic raspberries.
The bars will be available on Magic Chocolate’s e-commerce website beginning in February, in stores exclusively at Sprouts Farmers Market for the month of April and, as of May 1, available in key natural retailers nationwide. Made with organic ingredients and sweetened with cane sugar, Magic’s Truffle Bars are available as individual 15 g bars ($1.49) or in four packs of 22 g bars ($8.99). Flavors include Hazelnut Crunch Truffle Bar, Salted Candied Hazelnut Truffle Bar, Salted Candied Hazelnut Truffle Layer Bar, and Creamy Raspberry Truffle Layer Bar.
The Truffle Bars are produced by Magic’s partner, family-owned, Switzerland-based chocolate company, Maestrani Schweizer Schokoladen AG. The bars were inspired by Maestrani’s Minor candy—a fudgy treat that combines crunchy hazelnuts and smooth organic chocolate—which, since their launch in 1936, have become a Swiss chocolate signature exemplary of the country’s premium craftsmanship, the company notes.
“When debuting our first product line beyond Magic’s core bars, we wanted to showcase our partnership with legacy Swiss chocolate producer, Maestrani. There was no better way to do so than to introduce a confection inspired by one of the company’s most popular offerings,” shares Magic Chocolate Co-founder and CEO Joe Whinney. “Magic’s Truffle Bars are made with our signature ingredients, and demonstrate our continued desire to push the industry to create ethical, organic chocolate. We are privileged to once again introduce a new offering to the U.S.”
“We are honored that our signature product has been reimagined for American consumers. We have poured all of our expertise and passion into Magic Chocolate’s Truffle Bars and are privileged to collaborate with a company that shares our commitment to organic and sustainably-sourced chocolate,” shares Christoph Birchler, CEO of Maestrani.
