Huer Foods, Cholula debut Chamoy Tropical Ring Mix
The confectioner is expanding its "swicy" candy line.

Huer Foods Inc., Canada's gummy candy innovator, has launched Huer Cholula Chamoy Tropical Ring Mix. The debut Cholula SKU features watermelon, pineapple, and mango sour gummy rings finished with a flavorful dusting of Cholula Chamoy seasoning, aiming to deliver a balance of sweet, tangy, fruity, chili-umami heat.
The Huer Cholula Chamoy Tropical Ring Mix is hitting Albertsons now, with expanded distribution planned later this year.
With Cholula Chamoy Tropical Ring Mix, Huer is doubling down on the cultural momentum behind "swicy" (sweet and spicy) flavors, the brand says, which continues to accelerate across the snack, beverage, and confection segments. Consumer demand for sweet-heat combinations is now reportedly outpacing broader candy category growth, fueled by Gen Z and Millennial shoppers seeking bolder, more globally inspired flavors.
Chamoy, known for its signature blend of tangy, salty, sweet, and mildly spicy notes, pairs naturally with tropical fruit flavors, Huer Foods says. This marks Huer's second major foray into the fast-growing swicy candy segment, following its Huer Frank's RedHot Spicy Gummy Bears. The product was featured in national food and trend publications and praised by reviewers for "redefining what spicy candy can be," helping cement Huer as an early leader in the emerging swicy confection space, the brand adds.
"Huer is here to push the boundaries of candy," says Molly Clinton, head of marketing, Huer Foods Inc. "The response to our Frank's RedHot Spicy Gummy Bears proved that consumers are ready and excited for swicy done right. With Cholula Chamoy, we're leaning even further into flavour mashups that feel authentic, craveable, and completely differentiated in the candy aisle. We're priming the pump to become the go-to brand for swicy confections."
