Symrise launches line of organic, non-GMO flavors
Company’s three production facilities certified for organic flavor production.
Symrise has launched a collection of organic-certified and non-GMO flavors under the umbrella of Code of Nature.
By developing organic-certified flavors across a spectrum of traditional flavor profiles, Symrise is able to help satisfy Millennial demand for better-for-you choices with organic and sustainable ingredients that fit the needs of growing families concerned with leading a healthy lifestyle.
"Millennials are the fastest-growing demographic of consumers who want what’s best not only for themselves but their families, too,” said Emmanuel Laroche, v.p. of marketing and consumer insights and global marketing leader for Symrise. “So, when it comes to foods and beverages, organics are on the top of their grocery lists.”
Symrise selects natural ingredients and sustainable sources of organic raw materials with an eye toward integrity and sustainability, without the use of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, GMOs, radiation, antibiotics or growth hormones. All three of Symrise’s production locations – Teterboro, N.J.; Branchburg, N.J.; and Elyria, Ohio – were certified in December 2017 for production of organic flavors by Quality Assurance International (QAI) to meet international (IFOAM) standards of organic accreditation.
