Specialty candy retailer IT’SUGAR continues to expand despite challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company has opened 10 new stores in the past six months, including a two-story, 10,000-sq.-ft. store at Faneuil Hall in Boston. IT’SUGAR expects to announce more openings this year, including its second candy department store in the United States at the Ala Moana Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.

“We’re so excited to move forward,” said Jeff Rubin, CEO and founder of IT’SUGAR. “IT’SUGAR was founded to create an escape from everyday life. We continue to bring brands to life and want to thank all our key vendor partners and devoted customers for their continued loyalty and support over the last year. We believe we’re extremely well-positioned for the future and look forward to building upon this momentum to grow our business as we enter into a new phase of growth.”

IT’SUGAR’s plans include:

  • The World’s First OREO Café opening on the third floor of IT’SUGAR American Dream is happening this summer – the 3,500-sq.-ft. café will be a place where guests can create their own ice cream sandwiches, milkshakes, waffles, and much more. There will also be exclusive apparel, pillows, and accessories.
  • A 1,000-sq.-ft. Sour Patch Kids shop-in-shop in Myrtle Beach opened at the end of March and is full of exclusive Sour Patch Kids candy, apparel, accessories and more.
  • IT’SUGAR is currently scheduled to open in late 2021 at the Ala Moana Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. IT’SUGAR’s second Candy Department store will be roughly 22,000 sq. ft. and have a Sour Patch Kids shop-in-shop and an OREO Café.

IT’SUGAR is a member of BBX Capital Corporation’s family of companies and a subsidiary of BBX Sweet Holdings, LLC.
