We recently touched base with Ryan Nelson, president, IT'SUGAR, to chat about consumer trends and behaviors in the novelty candy space, as well as what new items the store has recently released.

IT’SUGAR, one of the largest specialty candy retailers in the U.S., has opened a 2,300-square-foot candy store in the Poughkeepsie Galleria in Poughkeepsie, New York.

The brand has opened a 2,000 sq. ft. candy store in the Mall at Rockingham in Salem, NH, and a 3,500 sq. ft. store in the Rio Grande Valley Outlets in Mercedes, TX.

The Northshore Mall location offers over 300 pick n’ mix candy bins filled with a variety of sweets, including classic favorites, trendy treats, and nostalgic finds.

Consumers can experience the ultimate sour candy challenge with IT’SUGAR’s exclusive collaboration inspired by Joely Live’s hit YouTube series, "Pucker Up."

This week's Fun Friday includes IT'SUGAR's "Feeling Gifty" campaign, Pop-Tarts Bowl mascots competing to be eaten, HI-CHEW and Fortnite collab, Welch's Fruit Snacks "Fruitside Assistance" program, and Newman's Own Good Tastes Better social experiment.

This week's Fun Friday includes a Menchie's and HI-CHEW partnership, Oprah's Favorite Things pound cake, Pinkbox Doughnuts' treat of the month, a Haribo and Adidas sneaker collab, and IT'SUGAR's "Chews-Your-Mix" candy experience.
