Edible Arrangements introduces chocolate gift box in time for holiday season

Edible Arrangements, known for creating fresh-cut fruit arrangements for order, has expanded into the boxed chocolate market through its newest brand, Edible Chocolate.

Rob Price, president of Edible Arrangements, said it’s a logical move for the company, which already dips fruit in semisweet and white chocolate and incorporates it into Edible’s Gourmet Belgian Chocolate Pops.

“Chocolate is the largest food gifting category in the U.S., and 77 percent of our customers already buy it as a gift every year,” Price says. “So, it made sense for us to expand our offering to meet those gifting needs.”

Available online and at Edible franchise locations, the first product to launch under the new brand is the Edible Signature Chocolate Box, an 18-piece collection created with help from James Beard Award-winning chocolatier Jacques Torres, known as Mr. Chocolate.

The box features hand-made dark, milk and white pieces with fruit flavors that build off of Edible’s long-standing traditions. They include raspberry, pineapple, orange and passion fruit. Other flavors include caramel and hazelnut crunch.

Customers can also add occasion-specific packaging, starting this holiday season. The boxes can be purchased separately or with Edible Gift Baskets and other gift packages. Box prices start at $49.

“Not only is the Edible Signature Chocolate Box a premium product, but our network of over 1,300 local Edible Arrangements stores also makes it possible for customers to order this extraordinary new item for same-day hand delivery,” Price says. “This opportunity for convenience without compromise changes the game in chocolate gifting.”
