Reese’s launches Big Cup packed with salty pretzels
New candy set to hit shelves in November, with a miniature version slated for January 2021.
There's a classic Reese's ad from the 1980s that showcases what makes the candy so perfect.
It features a man and a woman walking toward each other while wearing distracting headphones. The woman is eating peanut butter while the man is eating chocolate. Then, they suddenly bump into each other.
The woman says, "Hey! You got your chocolate in my peanut butter!" While the man proclaims, "You got your peanut butter in my chocolate!"
After they pull back their headphones, to hear the other person, they realize how serendipitous the encounter was as they each taste the new treat they’ve just created.
"Delicious!" they each say.
Then the voice over comes on. "Two great tastes that taste great together!"
Well, now there are three great tastes. Because in addition to the candy’s classic peanut butter and chocolate combo, the brand’s latest launch also features salty pretzels.
“New Reese's Big Cups with Pretzels are a twist on the classic cup that's bigger, saltier and packed with delicious pretzels,” reads a media release from The Hershey Co., which owns the Reese’s brand. “And the best part? You can get your hands on the newest addition to the Reese's lineup this November.”
Reese's Big Cups with Pretzels will be available in a 1.3-oz. standard size/single cup (S.R.P. $1.49) and a 2.6-oz. king size/two cup (S.R.P. $2.09).
And the company also plans to launch Reese's Peanut Butter Cups with Pretzels Miniatures (S.R.P. $3.79) in January 2021.
Reese's Big Cups with Pretzels and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups with Pretzels Miniatures will be a permanent addition to the Reese's line-up at retailers nationwide.
