Lisa Boon, event planning manager for Retail Confectioners International, has resigned to stay home with her two young sons. Her last day with the organization is May 15.

Boon has worked for RCI for nearly a decade, starting as an intern in 2010 and becoming a full-time employee in 2011. During her time with RCI, she worked with membership and eventually transitioned to full-time event planner. 

“We are so appreciative of the impact she has had on our organization over the past 10 years and will miss having her as a part of our team,” Executive Director Angie Burlison said in a note to members. “I personally would like to thank her for being such a joy to work with and for giving so much to our association.”

Any questions specific to Boon’s role should be forwarded to Burlison until RCI makes a decision on a successor.
