The National Confectioners Association has issued the following statement on its participation in the 2025 White House Easter Egg Roll, which took place April 21 at the South Lawn:
“We’re proud to partner with the White House on the 2025 Easter Egg Roll and provide guests with a curated selection of classic American treats made by chocolate and candy companies. Chocolate and candy enhance special moments like Easter, and we are pleased to share these fun and unique confectionery products in support of this timeless tradition.”
This year’s event will offer thousands of children and families from across the country the opportunity to experience a day of fun, learning, and memorable moments, the White House says. The annual tradition of rolling colored eggs down the White House lawn was started by President Rutherford B. Hayes in 1878.
"As part of the lead up to a nationwide commemoration of the 250th celebration of America’s founding, the America250 initiative—featured on the South Lawn—will bring history to life for kids and families who sign a mini-Declaration of Independence, dress up as Founding Fathers, and enjoy an activity book, George the Star: An America250 Story. In addition to the classic Egg Roll and Egg Hunt—both featuring real, small- and medium-sized eggs donated by American egg farmers—guests will enjoy a wide array of entertaining activities thanks to the White House Historical Association and its partnerships."
The 2025 celebration will also feature a lineup of live performances on the Bunny Hop Stage, including the U.S. Marine Band, Army Band, and more.
