Face Twisters releases Sour Taffy Bites
The candy is available now in strawberry, green apple, and blue raspberry varieties.
Schuster Products' Face Twisters has debuted its Sour Taffy Bites, the boldest new addition to its extreme sour candy family, it says. Each bite-sized morsel combines chewy fruit taffy infused with ultra-sour powder and is finished with a crunchy candy shell. Sour Taffy Bites are available now in strawberry, green apple, and blue raspberry varieties, letting consumers mix and match the flavors in one resealable pouch.
The Face Twisters brand first pioneered chewy taffy with a crisp bite in 2011 with the launch of its Sour Tower of Taffy.
“Candy fans are hungrier than ever for exciting textures and eye-popping flavors,” said a Face Twisters spokesperson. “Our new Sour Taffy Bites deliver a one-two punch of chewiness and extreme sour—bringing even more fun to the candy aisle.”
According to a recent Circana report (June 15), the chewy candy category holds the lion’s share of non-chocolate sales, while novelty candies have surged, posting an 8% lift in volume in the past year. Chewy candy overall is up 4.3%, with sour varieties outpacing broader candy sales.
Face Twisters Sour Taffy Bites come in resealable 3.5-oz stand-up pouches, each with 20 assorted pieces. The product is available in 12-count cases, with a suggested retail price of $3.49 per pouch.
