SweeTarts, Lemonhead, and Spree debut in a trending format.

Ferrara is reimagining three of its iconic candy brands—SweeTarts, Lemonhead, and Spree—in a new freeze-dried format. The products deliver a light, airy crunch while preserving the candies' signature flavor profiles.
Each variety offers a distinct sensory experience. SweeTarts Freeze Dried candy features the brand’s classic sweet-and-tart flavor in a crisp texture. Lemonhead Freeze Dried candy delivers the brand’s signature sour lemon taste in a snackable, airy format. Spree Freeze Dried candy transforms the traditional chewy fruit-flavored candy into a tangy, crunchy bite.
“We know our consumers are always craving exciting new ways to experience their favorite candy, so we're setting a new standard,” says Kiren Devereux, director of marketing, SweeTart. “Freeze-dried represents a space that consumers are very interested in—unlocking entirely new textures while honoring the authentic flavor profiles that make these brands beloved by so many.”
The freeze-dried candies will be available in 4 oz. packs at select retailers nationwide beginning in September, including Target and Walmart. Positioned as a versatile snack option, the new format is suited for on-the-go snacking, movie nights, road trips, or everyday indulgence.
