ADM has released its third annual report detailing progress in regenerative agriculture and food system resilience. In 2024, ADM’s efforts centered on retaining participating farmers, expanding adoption of regenerative practices, and launching new projects across additional geographies.

ADM’s program engaged more than 5 million acres globally, exceeding its 2024 goal of 3.5 million acres and reaching its 2025 target ahead of schedule.

“ADM has been connected to the land and the farmers who care for it for more than 120 years, and we know healthy soil is the foundation of resilient agriculture,” says Greg Morris, senior vice president and president, ag services & oilseeds, ADM. “Reaching our 2025 goal a year ahead of schedule is a milestone that reflects what’s possible when partners from farm to table work together. This report clarifies our objectives and demonstrates the tangible impact of our dedication to creating shared value for farmers, customers and consumers.”

The report outlines ADM’s global approach to regenerative agriculture, including definitions, principles, and practices. Key outcomes from 2024 include:
  • A reduction of more than 1 million metric tons of Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions—more than triple the reduction achieved in 2023.
  • Sequestration of over 363,000 metric tons of CO2e.
  • Collaboration across the value chain, including thousands of farmers, agronomic and data partners, and downstream companies such as The J.M. Smucker Co., Nestlé, and PepsiCo.
  • Case studies from projects spanning six continents, including North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
ADM’s farmer-centric approach offers a range of support options, including education, financial incentives, and technical innovation tailored to individual farm needs. The company partners with organizations across the supply chain to connect growers with technology providers, experts, and end customers.

“We're proud to be supporting farmers, agriculture, and food security by accelerating a global shift toward regenerative agriculture and providing growers with tools, expertise, and incentives that create economic value and unlock new market opportunities,” says Morris. “This rapid expansion showcases our commitment to defining clear practices, setting measurable goals, and delivering tangible outcomes for a more resilient agricultural future.”
