Osage expands portfolio with natural color platform
Its new lineup can be used in bakery, snack, confectionery, and more.

Osage Food Products has expanded its ingredient portfolio with the launch of Osage Colors, a new natural color platform designed to support today’s clean-label, application-driven product development needs. The new portfolio is a natural extension of the company’s Osage Flavors operation, it says.
Osage Colors brings together deep color expertise, modern production capabilities and flexible batch sizing to support everything from early-stage trials to full-scale commercialization, it notes. The platform includes both liquid and powder natural colors engineered for performance across a wide range of food and beverage applications, the company adds.
“Our customers are asking for natural color solutions that work as hard as their flavors,” says Dennis Reid, vice president, marketing and specialty ingredients. “Osage Colors is built to deliver that by pairing technical know-how with the speed, flexibility and support product developers need.”
A broad natural colors toolbox
Osage Colors includes a diverse portfolio of natural color options, including anthocyanins and carotenoids derived from familiar plant-based sources. Available shades span reds, purples, blues, yellows, and oranges, with solutions tailored for beverages, dry mixes, and processed food systems.
The portfolio is designed with real-world formulation considerations in mind, including:
- pH and heat stability
- light and processing tolerance
- interactions with ingredients such as ascorbic acid, alcohol and flavor emulsions
- oil- and water-soluble formats
Built for commercial reality
Osage Colors is supported by modern blending and dispersion capabilities, including liquid blending, powder blending, plating, and dispersions. Standard and small-batch options allow customers to move efficiently from benchtop to commercialization, while packaging formats support both R&D and production-scale needs.
With BRC certification underway and a focus on quality systems aligned with commercial manufacturing expectations, the company is positioned to serve beverage, bakery, snack, confectionery, and dry mix applications, it says.
Osage Colors is now preparing for commercial introduction, with program materials and technical resources rolling out in support of customer engagement and product development.
