As a member of the executive team, Trujillo will be responsible for delivering IT’SUGAR stores sales and participating in the strategic leadership of the company.

Trujillo most recently spent the last 16 years at Sephora as senior district manager, regional director, vice president of stores and lastly, as vice president of retail special projects. He began his career as a store manager at GAP and Aeropostale before transitioning to Warner Bros. Studio Stores, where he progressed from general manager to district manager. After seven years, he moved on to Children’s Place as district manager, overseeing the New York City market.

“We are pleased to welcome Rob to the IT’SUGAR team,” said Jeff Rubin, founder and CEO of IT’SUGAR. “We look forward to tapping into his wealth of experience in high-impact retail strategy, personnel development and operations expertise to further the expansion of our retail stores.”

At IT’SUGAR, Trujillo will spearhead the execution of merchandise and presentation directives, while leading the selection, hiring, training, development and retaining of top field talent to meet current and future business needs. Trujillo will also seek to create partnerships for key corporate functions such as merchandising, planning and replenishment, visual and store design, human resources, and finance.

“It is an exciting time to join the IT’SUGAR team, and I am looking forward to utilizing my previous experience to lead the stores and operations team during this critical time of growth,” Trujillo said.

IT’SUGAR is a member of BBX Capital’s family of companies and a subsidiary of BBX Sweet Holdings, LLC.
