Parker Food Group, a provider of specialty inclusions and ingredients, has announced the expansion and optimization of its compound coating capabilities—designed to deliver flexibility, flavor, and function for today’s fast-moving food and snack industry, it says.
With nearly a century of ingredient expertise, Parker makes custom confectionery coatings that can power innovation across bars, snacks, frozen desserts, bakery, confections, and more. The company’s expanded manufacturing footprint now includes multiple full-scale lines, pilot plant capabilities, and a dedicated dairy-free production area, supporting agile development and commercial scale-up for brands of all sizes.
“Our customers need more than just a coating—they need a partner who can flex with flavor, format, and function,” says Greg Hodder, CEO of Parker Food Group. “Whether it’s a better-for-you protein drizzle, a custom-colored cookie coating, or a nostalgic flavor remix, we’re built to help brands create what consumers crave.”
Elements of Parker's coatings include:
- Custom formulations, simplified – Parker’s three-step development process makes it easy to create tailored coatings by application, nutritional need, and flavor profile, the company notes.
- Format flexibility – Offered as wafers, chips, flakes, chunks, or liquid coatings.
- Better-for-you options – Including high protein, sugar-free, dairy-free, soy-free, gluten-free, organic, and allergen-free options.
- Low minimum order quantity requirements – Commercial production begins at just 10,000 lbs., with quality backed by SQF Edition 9 certification and robust allergen controls, Parker says.
