Chocolatier and snacks producer Morris National has appointed Frank Amato as vice president of sales, effective March 30.
Amato brings 35 years of leadership experience in the confectionery and consumer packaged goods industry to the role. Throughout his career, he has reportedly successfully driven revenue growth, expanded retail distribution, and strengthened partnerships across grocery, mass, specialty, and convenience channels. Amato was at Hershey for 14 years prior to joining Just Born Quality Confections, where in his most recent position as director of sates, he played a key role in increasing market share, launching new product innovations, and delivering sustained profitable growth, Morris National says.
Amato has also been active within the industry, serving on various National Confectioners Association (NCA) committees over the past several years, and was inducted into the NCSA Candy Hall of Fame in 2019.
At Morris National, he will work on accelerating distribution, enhancing customer collaboration, and optimizing trade investments. He will work closely with Rich Clemmensen, VP sales and marketing, who will continue to focus on key account partnerships and now contribute to product development to ensure strong execution from concept to shelf, supporting Morris National's continued growth in the confectionery marketplace.
Clemmensen and Amato will work together as Morris National's leadership team, headed up by Bram and Gerry Morris.
