McKee to Close Chattanooga Bakery
McKee Foods is shutting down its Custom Baking plant and moving production to its other facilities.
Located in Chattanooga, Tenn., the bakery, which was acquired from Turnbull Bakery in 2004 and employed 30 people, produced Little Debbie donuts. According to published reports, production of those products will be moved to McKee Foods’ facilities in Arkansas and Collegedale, Tenn., where the company is headquartered.
The facility is reportedly up for sale.
