PACK EXPO, Anuga FoodTec Announce Partnership
PACK EXPO and Anuga FoodTec form a strategic partnership to globalize their resources for packaging and processing innovation.
The Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute, Arlington, Va., owner and producer of the PACK EXPO family of tradeshows, and Koelnmesse GmbH, producer of Anuga FoodTec, are pooling their resources to attendees at the largest food and beverage processing shows in North America and Europe.
“There’s been a marked shift to a total systems manufacturing approach, making it critical that food and beverage processors be exposed to a wide range of resources that can help them increase efficiencies, reduce total systems costs and speed time to market,” says Charles Yuska, president and CEO of PMMI. “Our partnership with Koelnmesse GmbH will help us provide PACK EXPO attendees with greater access to new processing technologies that can help them achieve these goals. Attendees will also benefit from greater insight into trends impacting the global industry such as food safety, quality and sustainability.”
The partnership complements the Las Vegas debut of The Processing Zone at this fall’s PACK EXPO, Sept. 26-28 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas. The Processing Zone will highlight the newest processing technologies for a range of market sectors, including food, beverage, baked goods, snack food, meat, dairy and produce. PACK EXPO attendees will find additional examples of processing innovation among the show’s 1,200 exhibitors.
Anuga FoodTec 2012, March 27-30 in Cologne, Germany, will be the central meeting point for the international food and beverage industry, with approximately 1,200 exhibitors and 34,000 attendees expected to participate.
In addition to promoting attendance at the PACK EXPO tradeshows to European food and beverage processors, Anuga FoodTec will have a presence at PACK EXPO to help packaging and processing suppliers seeking to expand into the European market. To help Anuga FoodTec continue to expand its presence in the packaging sector, PMMI will sponsor the North American Packaging Pavilion at Anuga FoodTec 2012.
