Capitalizing on its popularity during Halloween, Reese’s brand will install a candy exchange machine today in Washington Square Park on Fifth Avenue in New York City.

Officially unveiled Sunday, Oct. 28 at Halloween parade in Tarrytown, N. Y., the Reese's Halloween Candy Converter Machine will be available in the park from 4-9 p.m. Visitors can trade in Halloween candy they don’t want for Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

The Hershey Co. spokesperson Anna Lingeris told CNN the company expects to give out 10,000 peanut butter cups.

"As the No. 1 Halloween candy (with over half of candy buyers purchasing Reese's), Reese's has come up with a solution — give us your unwanted candy, and we'll give you what you actually want — Reese's Peanut Butter Cups," Lingeris said.

Lingeris also told CNN she had many fans ask her when the trade-in machine will appear in their cities.

"This has been quite the day and we love the feedback from our fans," she said. "Maybe we will bring the Reese's Candy Exchange to other cities; stay tuned for Halloween 2019."
