This year, Bethlehem, PA is celebrating the New Year with PEEPSFEST. At this family-friendly festival, a giant illuminated Peeps Chick, weighing in at 400 pounds and standing tall at four feet and nine inches, drops to welcome in the New Year on December 31 at 5:35 p.m.

For the first time, Just Born Quality Confections, maker of Peeps, will give marshmallow lovers an early glimpse at the 2023 Easter Peeps Marshmallow offerings, along with live music and entertainment, an ice skating rink, festive activities, dioramas, and more.

The schedule for December 31 is as follows:

• 3:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. – Family fun activities including live music & entertainment, ice skating, S’mores firepits, and Peeps sampling stations
• 5:30 p.m. – The Peeps Flavor Drop Announcement 
• 5:35 p.m. – The Peeps  Chick Drop Ceremony and firework show

Entry fee includes a variety of PEEPSFEST activities and a Peeps gift bag for attendees 12 years old and under. Admission is $5, and consumers can upgrade their tickets ($10) for skate rentals and access to the ice rink.

The Peeps chick will also be available for photo opportunities.
