1UP Candy will make its entrance at the 2025 Sweets & Snacks Expo (Booth #5662) with the official debut of its Crunchy (Freeze-Dried) Sour Strips, a next-gen take on a trending favorite. With a unique crispy experience, sour flavor, and viral-ready appeal, this new launch reflects 1UP's approach to candy and represents a new chapter for non-chocolate innovation, the brand says.

Available in four flavors—Rainbow, Blue Raz, Strawberry, and Green Apple—the brand's Crunchy (Freeze-Dried) Sour Strips take the chewy sour treat and transform it into a crispy snack that delivers a dynamic sour pop followed by a smooth, fruity melt, 1UP says.

“1UP was built to stretch the rules and redefine what candy can be,” says Co-founder and CEO Matt Weiss. “Our Crunchy (Freeze Dried) Sour Strips represent not just a new product line, but our continued commitment to bring new experiences to confections, and the response so far has been phenomenal.”

Packaged in resealable 3-oz pouches reportedly designed for eye-catching shelf impact and grab-and-go snacking, the Crunchy (Freeze Dried) Sour Strips align with 1UP’s mission to create disruptive candy formats with mass appeal and cultural relevance.

Founded by YouTube personality FaZe Rug and backed by venture studio VO/D, 1UP Candy is built for a generation that wants more from its sweets—more flavor, more creativity, and more personality. The brand’s product pipeline focuses on unexpected formats and flavor mashups that resonate with curious, taste-driven consumers.

Alongside 1UP Candy’s Crunchy (Freeze-Dried) Sour Strips, the brand is also introducing Chamoy Liquid Gummies, a spicy-sweet collection inspired by vibrant Mexican flavor traditions. With Mango, Strawberry, and Watermelon varieties, the gummies add a sweet, spicy bite to the brand’s growing roster of culturally inspired confections.

“Everything we make is designed to shake things up in the candy aisle,” says Weiss. “Our Crunchy Sour Strips are a category-defining format, and through new category expansion and flavor launches, we’re continuing to tap into consumer curiosity.”

1UP Candy products are currently available at over 12,000 retail locations nationwide, including Walmart, Circle K, and Five Below.
