Goodis launched last fall to bring its Swedish-style candy to the U.S. Now it's time for the next big step, the company says: expansion. The brand has announced plans to expand to Europe, as of August 1.

Co-founder Nemrud Kurt comments: "The decision to expand has nothing to do with American customs. The motivation lies in the opportunity to enter the European market and offer the best candy in the world in a seamless, digital way to even more people."

Together with co-founder Isa Afram, Kurt was born and raised in Sweden. The third founder, Timothy Akguc Ego, is a New Jersey native.

The company continues to offer four different product categories:

  • Pick-and-mix, where consumers can customize their candy bags
  • Assorted bags
  • Classics, e.g. Kexchoklad, Marabou brands

"Europe is an expansion, not a replacement. Business continues as usual in the U.S., where we also have a dedicated person handling B2B sales," Kurt says.
