Haribo has launched its newest product, Sour Sodas, ahead of Halloween. The bottle-shaped gummies feature a soft center and a slightly crunchy coating, available in three flavor combinations: Cherry-Cola, Lemon-Strawberry, and Peach–Blue Raspberry.
To mark the launch, Haribo will host a pop-up event on Oct. 31 in Houston, TX, known as America's "Sourest City," where trick-or-treaters can receive full-size bags of Sour Sodas. The first 1,000 guests will have early access to the product before its national rollout. The event will include family-oriented activities and product sampling.
According to Circana data, Houston ranks highest in sour gummi consumption among U.S. cities, followed by Miami, Dallas, Boston, and San Francisco.
“Sour Sodas give consumers bold flavor combinations and texture variety,” says Abigail Bennie, director of brand management at Haribo. “We aim to create moments of connection through products that reflect evolving taste preferences.”
