Lucky Energy is now expanding to the candy aisle, with the launch of its gummies, the brand's first innovation outside of the drinks category. The gummies aim to extend Lucky Energy's reach into new everyday energy occasions, offering a portable format designed to complement, rather than replace, the brand's beverage lineup, the brand says.

We reached out to Richard Laver, founder and CEO, Lucky Energy, to learn more.

Liz Parker Kuhn: Can you please talk a bit about Lucky Energy’s background as an energy brand?

Richard Laver: Lucky Energy was created to give people a cleaner, more balanced way to power their day. I’ve spent my career building products out of necessity, and this was no different. Most energy drinks are built for extremes, but real life isn’t extreme all the time—it’s meetings, workouts, long days, and showing up consistently.

Lucky Energy is simple by design: zero sugar, zero calories, clean ingredients, and bold, natural flavors that actually taste good. Each can contains caffeine and five functional ingredients to support energy metabolism, and no artificial sweeteners, colors, or preservatives. It’s straightforward fuel for athletes, creators, and everyday achievers who believe success is built, not found—one intentional move at a time.

Today, Lucky Energy is available online at LuckyBevCo.com, on Amazon and TikTok Shop, and in over 15,000 retail locations nationwide.

LPK: Why did the brand decide to add gummies to its lineup?

RL: Energy is overdue for real innovation. Consumers are looking for formats that fit into real life—not just a single moment or a single can. Gummies are reshaping how people think about supplements, snacking, and functional benefits, and we saw an opportunity to rethink energy the same way. Our beverage success—especially with Son of a Peach as our top-selling flavor—showed us there was real demand for simpler, cleaner energy.

Gummies let us take on-the-go to another level. They’re easy to throw in a back pocket, a purse, a gym bag, or keep on your desk—no fridge, no opener, no timing it perfectly. It’s energy that meets people where they are and expands how and when they experience Lucky. More accessible, more flexible, and built for multiple moments throughout the day—not just a spike and crash.

LPK: Can you talk about the ingredients and how the gummies match up with the brand’s energy drink flavors?

RL: Each serving of Lucky Energy Gummies delivers: The goal with the gummies was to deliver the same Lucky Energy philosophy in a different format.

Each serving of Lucky Energy Gummies delivers 128 mg of caffeine, 7 g of fiber, and a functional blend of maca, ginseng, beta-alanine, L-theanine, and taurine. They’re lightly sweetened with cane sugar and a touch of sucralose to keep them approachable and enjoyable.

Our drinks, by comparison, deliver 200 mg of caffeine in a 16-oz can with zero sugar and zero calories, designed for longer, more sustained energy. Both formats share overlapping functional ingredients, but they serve different moments—gummies for flexibility and portability, drinks for a full, zero-calorie energy experience.

LPK: Did you do any consumer taste-testing for the gummies?

RL: Yes, we conducted consumer taste-testing, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Taste is non-negotiable for us—if it doesn’t taste great, it doesn’t matter how functional it is.

We also compared our gummies directly against other options on the market, and we were confident in how our flavors stood up. The testing confirmed that we weren’t just delivering clean energy—we were delivering something people genuinely enjoyed eating. That feedback gave us the confidence to move forward with the launch and set a new standard for what energy gummies should taste like.

LPK: The gummies are currently only available for purchase on your website—any plans on expanding to brick-and-mortar stores or online retailers like Amazon, etc.?

RL: The gummies are currently available on our website, but retail expansion is absolutely part of the plan. You’ll see Lucky Energy Gummies launch with one of the world’s largest retailers in summer 2026, as we continue to build Lucky into a multi-format energy platform.

LPK: What’s your favorite Lucky Energy product to enjoy, and also what’s your favorite flavor of the new gummies?

RL: I try not to play favorites because each product and flavor is designed for a different moment. What matters more to me is that people can choose what fits their day and what flavor they’re craving— whether that’s focus, performance, or just getting through a long afternoon. That flexibility is really the point of Lucky.
