Neuro, Beast Philanthropy partner on co-branded tins
Ryan Chen, co-founder of the functional gum brand, chats about the collab.

Neuro and Mr.Beast’s Beast Philanthropy are teaming up on limited-edition, co-branded tins. Under this initiative, Neuro will donate up to $500,000 to Beast Philanthropy, helping fund units that will be deployed across Texas, Kenya, Massachusetts, Nigeria, and Ukraine.
To learn more, we reached out to Ryan Chen, co-founder of Neuro.
Liz Parker Kuhn: Can you give a brief description of Neuro? How did the brand initially start, and what flavors/products does it offer?
Ryan Chen: At Neuro we make functional gum and mint designed to deliver clean, sustained energy and focus through simple, science-backed ingredients.
Kent (Yoshimura, co-founder and CEO of Neuro) and I met at UC San Diego, and at 19 I got into a snowboarding accident that left me paralyzed from the waist down. When I came back to school, we were both juggling a lot and couldnʼt find anything that actually helped us get through it all. We started mixing our own supplements in our dorm room, experimenting with different ingredients that would give us sustained energy without the crash. As I started navigating my new norm, I learned about scuba diving so Kent and I went to Catalina to get scuba certified and thatʼs when the idea of Neuro was born. We were exhausted from diving and being in the sun all day but liquid format energy or pills werenʼt exactly ideal to share, and that's when we thought, what if this came in a gum? Something familiar, portable, and easy to share.
Our hero SKU, Energy & Focus gum and mints, is formulated with natural caffeine, L-theanine, and B-vitamins to support alertness without jitters or crashes you typically get from traditional energy supplements. Itʼs available in peppermint, spearmint, and wintergreen flavors.
We also offer Extra Strength Energy & Focus, Calm & Clarity mints (honey lemon), Sleep & Recharge meltaway mints (mixed berry), and Caffeine-Free Memory & Focus gum (peppermint), each designed to support different routines and different types of focus, energy, and recovery.
LPK: How did the collaboration between Neuro and Mr.Beastʼs Beast Philanthropy come about?
RC: This collaboration grew out of my existing relationship with MrBeastʼs philanthropic work. I was featured in a Beast Philanthropy video about adaptive training, and Kent and I joined Mr. Beast and the Feastables team on a trip to Ghana to learn more about how Feastables partners with local cocoa farms to fight against child labor, which further deepened our relationship.
We have a mutual philosophy that how you show up each day has a ripple effect—youʼre influencing more than your own outcomes. The way you lead, focus, and engage creates momentum around you that can extend into real-world impact.
From there, our partnership evolved organically into a co-initiative focused on turning everyday products into meaningful philanthropy.
With this limited-edition tin, 100% of proceeds are going to a Texas A&M student-led project thatʼs converting shipping containers into medical clinics, helping bring healthcare access to communities that need it most.
LPK: How was the design for the co-branded tins decided? How was it created or designed?
RC: The design plays off the whole concept that your imprint makes an impact. Even small actions, like purchasing a tin, can lead to big impacts that can go far beyond what you could ever imagine.
LPK: Has Neuro embarked on any other philanthropy projects/projects in the past? Does it plan on any more in the future?
RC: Neuroʼs philanthropy has always been pretty personal, with most partnerships tied directly to real experiences that shaped me and Kent.
We got scuba certified with PADI years back where the idea for Neuro began, and we had the opportunity to partner with the PADI AWARE Foundation in 2024. For that collaboration, we donated a portion of proceeds, raising over $400k, from 3 different limited-edition ocean-themed tins to support ocean conservation efforts.
Another meaningful partnership came through my own recovery journey was with the High Fives Foundation. It helps adaptive athletes regain independence through sports, and helped me after my accident. Years later, we were able to partner with them and give back, launching a National High Five Day campaign (which also happened to be my birthday) and donated 20% of proceeds to their organization raising over $50,000 for adaptive athletes.
Weʼve also partnered with Team Red, White & Blue, an organization focused on veteran wellness through community and fitness, helping raise over $150,000 to support their programs and we now do all their fulfillment pro-bono.
LPK: Whatʼs your favorite Neuro SKU to enjoy?
RC: The Energy & Focus gum is truly an everyday staple for me. It's our hero SKU and what put us on the map. The combination of natural caffeine and L-theanine gives you that focused energy without the crash, so it fits into everything from deep work sessions to travel days to just being on the go.
Weʼre also launching a limited-edition Watermelon flavor for summer, which is a lighter, fruit-forward take on the same functional energy experience.
