The Biscuit and Cracker Manufacturers’ Association (B&CMA), Silver Springs, Md. — Stacey Sharpless is appointed as president of the B&CMA. Current president Francis P. Rooney will retire at the Association’s Annual Convention at the Breakers in Palm Springs, Fla., to be held April 24 through 27. Sharpless served as the B&CMA director of education for the past eight years and was responsible for developing educational content and coordinating trade shows for the Annual Technical Conference.

Chef Solutions, Schaumburg, Ill. —Carl W. Warschausky is named executive vice president and chief financial officer. Warschausky previously served as CFO at Merisant, manufacturer of Equal sweeteners, and at Searle, a division of Monsanto Co.

C.J. Vitner Co., Chicago, Ill. — Edward Cepa becomes president and COO. William A. Vitner, former president and COO, named chairman and CEO. Steve Reusz is named CFO.

Derst Baking Co., Hinesville, Ga. —Brian Keith Madden is promoted to assistant supervisor, route sales.

Poore Brothers, Inc., Goodyear, Ariz. — Glen Flook promoted to executive vice president of innovation. Brian Foster named to vice president of manufacturing.

Ubiquity Brands, Chicago, Ill. — James Sego is appointed to executive vice president, sales for its Lincoln Snacks’ subsidiary.

Wheat Foods Council, Parker, Colo. — Marcia Scheideman joins the Wheat Foods Council as president, effective April 1.  Scheideman is currently the regional coordinator for the Extension and Outreach Programs for Cornell’s Cooperative Extension. As president, Scheideman will be responsible for administering the national office and public relations program, in addition to serving as the council’s spokesperson for the media, government, pertinent trade organizations, and the grains industry.

The Wright Group, Crowley, La. —Vicky Kennedy Berkman is appointed to northwest regional sales manager. Berkman most recently served as a food technologist with Nellson Nutraceutical in Irwindale, Calif.
