Dubai chocolate is a hot trend across the globe, and Béquet Confections is offering consumers a spin on the viral sensation: Bequet Dubai Chocolate Caramel. The premium, nut-free treat is made in Montana with all-natural ingredients, combining the company’s butter caramel, enhanced with real cocoa, and rolled with a layer of pistachio-flavored caramel through the center. Bequet Dubai Chocolate Caramel is available to order immediately, with product shipping in June.
Traditional Dubai chocolate bars are milk chocolate filled with pistachio cream and kataifi (finely shredded phyllo dough). Bequet Dubai Chocolate Caramel is an alternative for those with allergies, since the product is certified gluten-free and nut-free.
TikTok spurred the worldwide Dubai chocolate craze, with more than 406,000 videos on the social media platform using the #Dubaichocolate hashtag. This month, several news outlets posted about a pistachio shortage due to the overwhelming demand for the trending treat.
“Our Dubai chocolate-inspired caramel is a nut-free product, which we're really excited about because our entire lineup has always been nut-free and tree allergen-free,” says Jon Nielsen, co-president of Béquet Confections.
Made with all-natural, non-GMO premium ingredients, each bite-sized piece of the kosher-certified Béquet Dubai Chocolate Caramel is individually wrapped. Every 3.6-oz pouch contains nine caramels with a suggested retail price of $5.99. The stand-up pouches are boxed 12 per display-ready carton.
