JMP Engineering Opens MI Office

New Zealand-based systems solution provider JMP Engineering, Ltd., a manufacturer of robotic palletizing and packaging equipment, opens a new office in Clarkston, Mich., servicing the North American market.

“Over the last few years, we have installed nearly 100 robotic palletizing systems in North America, our growth in the region has been phenomenal,” says Michael Thornton, managing director of JMP Engineering, Ltd. “Opening an office there was an easy decision.”

The new company, JMP Robotics, will be run by Phil Wright, former sales and marketing manager of Kawasaki Robotics (USA), who joins the team with more than 11 years experience in the industry.

JMP has sold more than 340 robotic palletizers worldwide servicing a variety of industries and designs, engineers, manufactures, integrates and installs stretch wrappers, pallet dispensers, conveyors, robotic grippers, electrical panels, tooling and many other system components.

“We are excited to have Mr. Wright on board,” says David Gross, general manager of JMP Engineering, Ltd. “He brings a great deal of knowledge and experience with him and I am certain he will be an asset to JMP.”
