Morning Start Breakfast Bars

Ingredients: (Chocolate Chip Crisp bars) Soy nuggets (isolated soy protein, tapioca starch and salt), glycerine, dry roasted soybeans, protein blend (hydrolyzed collagen, calcium/sodium caseinate), chocolate chips (alkalized chocolate liquor, lactitol, polydextrose, cocoa butter, lecithin, vanilla extract, sucralose), polydextrose (fiber), cocoa butter, desiccated coconut, sunflower oil, cocoa powder processed with alkali, cellulose, maltitol, dicalcium phosphate, soy lecithin, natural and artificial flavor, sucralose (Splenda brand non-nutritive sweetener), ethyl maltol.
Nutrition blend: vitamin A, vitamin C, niacin, vitamin B-2 (riboflavin), vitamin B-1 (thiamine), folic acid, vitamin E. For those sensitive to sugar alcohols, limit consumption to 1 to 2 servings.
FYI: The Atkins Morning Start line of breakfast bars has expanded this summer for those following controlled-carbohydrate lifestyles. The line includes lots of varieties — Double Chocolate Muffin, Chocolate Chip Crisp, Creamy Strawberry Crisp and Blueberry Muffin. All bars have only 2 gm. of net carbs. The line will continue to grow in September with two delicious additions — Trail Mix and Triple Berry bars with only 3 gm. of net carbs. Atkins is dedicated to providing tasty and convenient breakfast items, sure to become breakfast favorites!
Lucky Duckies Cheese Crackers

Suggested Retail: $1.29 for a 1.5 oz. cup and $1.69 for a 3 oz. cup
Ingredients: Organic wheat flour, organic high oleic safflower and/or sunflower oil, organic Cheddar cheese [(organic cultured pasteurized milk, salt, enzymes), organic nonfat milk, organic whey, salt, disodium phosphate], organic evaporated cane juice, sea salt, yeast, annatto, cream of tartar, organic onion powder, natural Cheddar cheese flavor.
FYI: Finally! A line of kid-tested, mother-approved organic snacks for kids! Healthy Handfuls are made with certified organic ingredients and have no GMOs, trans fats, hydrogenated oils or high-fructose corn syrup. The snacks are kosher and lower in fat and salt than most kid-friendly snacks on the market. Healthy Handfuls come in two savory and two sweet varieties — Lucky Duckies cheese crackers, Python pretzels, Koala Krackers and Oatmeal Raisin Crocodile Cookies. All varieties are available in convenient single-serve handled boxes and resealable plastic cups with portions large enough for three little snackers to share. Every nibble counts for kids — why not make it a healthy one?
Wise Choice Potato Crisps and Soy-Potato Crisps

Ingredients: (Original Flavor) Potato flakes, rice flour, potato starch, sunflower oil, salt, buttermilk, onion, Cheddar cheese (cultured milk, salt, enzymes), butter (cream, salt), whey, monosodium glutamate (flavor enhancer), sour cream (cultured cream, nonfat milk), nonfat milk, citric acid, soybean oil, tocopherols, natural flavor.
FYI: Wise Foods announces its latest innovation with its first line of all-natural healthy snacks under the Wise Choice brand. Wise Choice Potato Crisps and Baked Soy-Potato Crisps have no trans fat, hydrogenated oils, artificial flavors or colors. The products are baked, have 70% less fat than traditional potato chips, offer 6.25 gm. of soy, are either OU Parve or OU Dairy and weigh in with only 110 calories per serving. The low-fat snack is available in one- and four-ounce bags and comes in four finger-licking flavors — Original Baked Potato Crisps, Roasted Garlic and Chive Baked Potato Crisps, Mesquite BBQ Baked Soy-Potato Crisps and Italian Herbs Baked Soy-Potato Crisps. Added soy protein as part of a balanced diet can lower cholesterol and benefit the heart. Munching on these crisps sounds like a “wise” choice.
Sweet Baby Jays
Company: Jays Foods, Inc., Chicago, Ill.

Suggested Retail: $0.25 for a 0.75-oz bag, $0.99 for a 2.25-oz. bag and $3.29 for an 8.5-oz. bag
Ingredients: (Sweet Baby Jays Mesquite): Sweet potatoes, corn oil, sugar, dextrose monohydrate, salt, smoked malt, tomato powder, torula yeast (contains sulfites), paprika, spices, dehydrated onion and garlic, monosodium glutamate, citric acid, natural flavor and extractives of paprika.
FYI: Jays introduces a chip of a different color with the launch of Sweet Baby Jays — flavorful chips made from sweet potatoes! Available in two mouth-watering varieties — Unsalted and Mesquite — the snack will hit shelves this month under the Krunchers! label of premium kettle-cooked potato chips. These uniquely flavored chips boldly combine all the wholesome goodness of sweet potatoes with the great taste and one-of-a-kind crunch that Jays’ consumers have enjoyed for more than 75 years. Sweet Baby Jays are cooked in corn oil, contain zero trans fats, are high in beta-carotene (provitamin A) and also contain vitamin C and potassium. This “sweet” new snack is a chip off the old block. “Krunch” them for yourself!
Amy’s Organic Pizzas

Ingredients: (3 Cheese) Organic tomatoes, organic wheat flour, organic cornmeal, filtered water, part skim Mozzarella cheese, extra virgin olive oil, goat cheese, expeller-pressed high oleic safflower oil, organic evaporated cane juice, organic green onions, Parmesan cheese, spices, sea salt, yeast. Contains wheat and milk.
FYI: Amy’s adds two delicious pizzas to its popular line — 3 Cheese Pizza with Cornmeal Crust and Cheese & Pesto Pizza with Whole Wheat Crust. Unique crusts set these pizzas apart, and tempting flavors are sure to be a hit with adults and kids alike. The restaurant-style 3 Cheese Pizza has a light, tender crust made from organic wheat and cornmeal, topped with fragrant, fresh pesto and robust tomato sauce. Ingredients: (Supreme French Bread) Toppings: Sauce: water, tomato paste, margarine (soybean oil, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, water, salt, vegetable mono and diglycerides, vegetable lecithin, natural flavors, beta carotene, vitamin A palmitate added), seasoning (paprika, granulated onion and garlic, spices, citric acid), soybean oil, contains 2% or less of salt, xanthan gum, guar gum, oligofructose, fructose, acesulfame potassium. Cheese: low-moisture, part skim Mozzarella cheese (pasteurized part skim milk, cheese cultures, salt, enzymes). Cooked Italian sausage: pork, water, spices, salt, dextrose, flavorings, TBHQ, BHT, citric acid. FYI: Red Baron is the first national frozen-pizza brand to offer carb-watchers a variety of carb-conscious products. New to the freezer section are two tantalizing goodies — Carb Works pizza and Carb Works French Bread pizza. Consumers don’t have to miss out on their favorite foods anymore with Red Baron’s mouth-watering varieties. The pizzas are available in Pepperoni, Three Cheese, Special Deluxe and Sausage and Pepperoni varieties and feature traditional crusts. French Bread offerings are Pepperoni, Five Cheese, Supreme and Meat Trio and have a crispy, flakier crust. Both products have only 12 to 13 net carbs per serving. By reducing the carbs, Red Baron has made it easier for carb-counting consumers to stick to their diets without sacrificing taste.
