Bay State Milling Co., Quincy, MA recently announced several organizational changes.

Keith Adams has been promoted to director of manufacturing for milling operations. Adams joined the company in 2007 as the plant manager in Wichita, KS. Most recently, he served as director of engineering and director of operations strategy.

Edward Fish has been appointed senior manager–corporate strategy. Fish brings experience in the plant-based ingredient and finance worlds to his new position. Based at the company’s Quincy headquarters, he will work across all functions to advance Bay State Milling’s initiatives.

Sean Finnie, Ph.D., has been named principle lead chemist–commercial science. Prior to joining Bay State, Finnie was a principal scientist for an international food company. At Bay State Milling, he will collaborate with R&D, sales and marketing as he applies plant-based research to drive future innovation.

Jessica Wellnitz is now product line manager for whole grain nutrition. In this new role, Wellnitz will grow and manage the Bay State product portfolio of whole grain plant-based ingredients. Her experience in the food industry spans research, commercialization, management and business development.

Barbara Lee-Budin was recently hired as a national account sales manager. She brings more 20 years of sales leadership in the food and flavor industries to the company and will manage a variety of midsize to large manufacturing accounts from Bay State’s Bolingbrook, IL, office.
